Now with Bullet softbodies coming in a future blender build and all…sweet. Cinema 4D to Blender: How to Import C4D Models All3DP This article is free for you and free from outside influence. Thanks for the enhanced xref and the guide otomo, should come in handy

Not pretty, by any means, but it works well. Once you manage to break through that initial wall the UI really is pretty damn nice and streamlined though. I actually messed around with it for like 3 weeks before I found out you could drag the top of the window down to get at the options, for instance, and the buttons being flipped from what I’m used to took a while to get used to as well, and I just can’t work with the default camera controls (to get it to behave more like C4D, go to the options and chose “turntable” instead of “trackball”). Yeah, it can be incredibly frustrating still, even with all the improvements since the first version I tried, which was the last one NaN did before the code was bought by the community and the BF was set up. But it’s a matter of days, not weeks or months or years… It’s like anything else… press on through the difficult part and you’ll soon see the light on the other side. It’s much easier today to learn Blender than it was several years ago, with several great forums (in addition to cgtalk, of course), several books and a lot of good tutorials online. I had an easier time picking up Blender than Maya, personally, but I guess that varies from person to person. Yes, blender is very frustrating if you give it a day or two at a time… It’s unusual, granted, but once you get used to it, it’s as natural as anything else.
